Bruce Haymes is currently leader of Nielsen Digital Media Manager, a new service that enables companies to track, manage and profit from the distribution of media on the Internet through the use of digital watermarks and fingerprints.
As Senior Vice President in Nielsen’s Product Leadership Group, Haymes is responsible for all aspects of the Nielsen Digital Media Manager, including developing strategy and marketing plans, integrating existing Nielsen assets and technical expertise, and implementing a rollout across all media segments. Haymes also oversees the company's relationship with Digimarc Corporation in the development of Nielsen's offering.
Prior to Nielsen, Haymes was corporate Vice President, Business Affairs at Time Warner Cable (NYSE: TWC). Prior to Time Warner Cable, Mr. Haymes was President, Coleytown Media Advisors, providing telecommunications and investment advice to private equity firms and hedge funds such as the Blackstone Group and Onex.
Previously, Mr. Haymes was Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategy for PanAmSat Corporation (NYSE: PA), one of the world’s largest global fixed satellite services providers. He led the company's New Ventures organization, as well as all acquisition, investment and product development activities. Prior to leading PanAmSat’s New Ventures organization, Mr. Haymes was Vice President and Associate General Counsel at PanAmSat and practiced corporate law with several New York City law firms including, Chadbourne & Parke and Morrison & Foerster.
He has closed notable transactions and projects such as the acquisitions of EuropeStar, Ltd., Esatel, Sonic Telecom and Hughes Global Services, as well as investments in Pathfire, Inc. and Pegaso Banda Ancha and the sale of PanAmSat to Intelsat. Mr. Haymes also has initiated and closed partnerships with JSAT, Japan’s leading provider of satellite services, and created, launched and incubated a foreign language cable/IPTV service called, Vis-a-TV.
Mr. Haymes received a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University, and a J.D. from the National Law Center at George Washington University. He is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bar Associations , the Ethnic Broadcasters Association and the Society of Industry Professionals.
